ASUSTOR Surveillance Center: No Camera List, Official ONVIF S/T
Surveillance Center 3.0 on ASUSTOR NAS keeps no supported-camera list at all. ASUSTOR's own compatibility page says 'virtually all IP cameras from manufacturers like Hikvision, Dahua and ACTi' connect using ONVIF, and its setup guide's only requirement is ONVIF Profile S or Profile T compliance.
How to add a third-party camera
- In Surveillance Center 3.0, add the camera via ONVIF (IP + credentials).
- Confirm the camera is ONVIF Profile S or T compliant (ASUSTOR's official requirement) - check the camera's product page here.
- Record and view as usual; RTSP mode is available for non-ONVIF cameras.
What works vs what breaks on third-party cameras
- ONVIF Profile S or T cameras (official requirement)
- Hikvision / Dahua / ACTi explicitly named as 'virtually all' (official)
- Basic recording + live view
- RTSP mode as fallback
- Smart analytics on third-party cameras
- Cameras with only MJPEG and no ONVIF/RTSP
Common questions
No - ASUSTOR's IP camera compatibility page names Hikvision, Dahua and ACTi as 'virtually all' via ONVIF, and the setup guide points to ONVIF Profile S/T compliance instead of a list.
ASUSTOR's guide says either Profile S or Profile T is acceptable for ONVIF connections.
